Annual Church Family Pic-Nic Outreach

     Every year our church, Iglesia Parque Leloir, participates in an event called "Family Pic-Nic."  This event is hosted by Word of Life on their property in our home town of San Miguel Del Monte. Each year many churches from all around our state and even from around the country come together for one big day of games, food and evangelism.  The idea is for church members to invite friends and family to this event so that they can get to know more people from the church and hear the Gospel through special dramas, games and presentations.
    Last year our church attended with 13 buses full of people. This is quite a special task since on a good Sunday our church attendance is around 125.  This years goal was to beat last years attendance record, and by Gods grace...WE DID.
    This year we were able to fill 15 buses with friends and family and bring 840 people to the Pic-Nic!!!  It was a very special day for everyone. This years theme was Zorro, in case you couldn't tell from the video. Many people received Christ at the Picnic while several others made decisions the following day during our church service.  We are rejoicing in God's goodness and are looking forward to the visitation, follow up and discipleship that will take place over the coming weeks.
   You should rejoice with us as your prayers and donations are part of what make these events possible.  As we participate in the Kingdom work together, the church is built up, new members are added, growth occurs, leaders are trained and sent out and the cycle repeats itself.  To God be the Glory!


Today's Verse:  Revelation 3:20    "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me."


PRAYER REQUESTS:  

• For successful follow up with those who attended the Pic-Nic.
• Fundraising for a new children's ministry building.
• Donations for Summer Camp scholarships ($150 scholarships cover 1 week of camp:  Camp season for us is the last week of January 2013) We have 15 students that could use scholarships.  If you are interested in donating please contact us by e-mail at pj-52@hotmail.com
